Dear Sir/Madam,
Please review the following instructions.
Potential threats:
- Misuse of personal data by third parties, e.g., to gain financial benefits
- Coercion to pay non-existent debts
- Creation of fake accounts on social media platforms
- Renting items using stolen personal data and subsequently stealing them
What can be done to prevent potential violations?
- If you suspect your personal data has been misused, please contact the Police immediately.
- Please report any suspicious correspondence to us.
- Do not rely on the similarity of names, surnames, or positions mentioned in such messages with the actual data of our representatives, as this information may be known to criminals.
- Pay close attention to emails from individuals impersonating Eurocert representatives, especially those notifying changes in bank accounts for payments or containing payment requests.
- Be cautious about unusual contact initiated by individuals claiming to be our representatives, especially if you have not had any prior direct relationship with them.
- Review your passwords used online. Passwords should not contain easily guessed words, especially those based on personal data (e.g., names, surnames, birth dates, PESEL numbers, ID document series and numbers, phone numbers).
- Be vigilant about unusual emails, particularly those containing suspicious links, requests for additional data, or suspicious attachments (attachments should not be sent in formats such as ZIP or RAR). Such messages may contain malicious software.
- Pay attention to written correspondence (paper letters) containing, for example, contract confirmations for agreements you have not made or false payment requests, as well as correspondence sent by debt collection companies claiming to act on behalf of Eurocert. Such incidents should be verified directly with the entities party to the agreements or requests.
- We recommend securing your PESEL number. This service is free and prevents unauthorized use of the PESEL number. More information:
